At approximately 9:40 PM on November 27, 2011 a fire was reported in a two-story middle of the row dwelling at 1238 Whitman Avenue. Initial reports stated that people were trapped inside the building, fortunately for all concerned this was not the case. Battalion 1 arrived on scene and reported smoke showing from the second floor. Companies arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the fire. A search of the premises proved negative, all occupants of the home having safely evacuated.

I arrived on scene shortly after the fire was placed under control and began photographing operations at 9:53 PM.
